Dave Simpson Trio

The Trio was formed by Dave in 2007 and has gone through many line-up changes before reaching the perfect one, that it is right now. Every Trio gig is different as the band likes to stretch themselves to their absolute limits and in doing so, gives the crowd a different experience every night.

John Joe’s drumming is full feel and groove whilst holding the time down effortlessly for Carina to lock in with her thunderous bass playing. This is what gives Dave the ability to float over the top of the fantastic rhythm section to add an extra texture to the songs that are constantly changing. This is very much an old-school way of playing, and the band loves to play this way.

All in all The Trio are a band to be reckoned with and not to be taken lightly. The band is very high-energy and doesn’t let up until it’s time to go home.
